Illness and Attendance

From time to time your child may not feel their best. Sometimes, it’s hard to determine when they should stay home from school or when it’s okay to go. Below is some guidance to help you determine if you should keep your child at home.

If your child is experiencing a fever greater than 100.0, vomiting, or diarrhea they should remain home. They may return to school when symptoms are gone and fever free (without fever reducing medications) for 24 hours.

When in doubt, check with your own pediatrician.

These same guidelines are true when riding the bus – please do not send your child to school on the bus when they’re actively sick.
